Prof. Dr. SARA PARKER

Dr Sara Parker is a distinguished educator and action researcher with three decades of experience in Nepal. She excels in integrating academic inquiry with community-focused action—particularly on menstrual equity, youth participation, global education, and fair trade. As a leader in cross-cultural partnerships and capacity building, her work continues to enrich educational practices and social change across the UK and Nepal.

Graeme is a trained and experienced Youth Worker and the founder of Aussie Action Abroad, an organization that collaborates with communities in Nepal to provide practical, realistic support that leads to sustainable outcomes and enriches the lives of everyone involved. Over the years, Graeme has been widely recognized for his dedication and impact. His accolades include: Community Leadership Award from Leadership Victoria in 2004, The Paul Harris Fellowship awarded by the Boronia Rotary Club in 2007 for his work within Nepali communities,

The Order of Australia Medal (O.A.M.), awarded in June 2017 and The Long Service Medal from The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, presented by HRH Prince Edward, in recognition of 30 years of service
