Interaction with Malaysian Teachers
In 2023, GAN Learning Centre organized an interactive program focused on environmental education, bringing together an international delegation of environmental educators and organizations. The participants included a Malaysian environment and teachers’ group, along with representatives from the Malaysian Nature Society, Bird Conservation Nepal, and Bird Life International (Asia).
The event served as a platform to exchange ideas, share best practices, and discuss collaborative approaches to promoting environmental awareness among students. It highlighted the role of global partnerships in advancing education for sustainability and fostering a sense of global citizenship among young learners.
Promoting Global Citizenship through Sports
As part of the Global Citizenship initiative, Sara Begg from Cricket Beyond Boundaries UK visited Kathmandu in March 2024. During her visit, she facilitated a one-day program titled “Sports for Gender Equity”, aimed at promoting inclusivity and gender equality through sports.

The event emphasized the role of sports in breaking gender stereotypes and fostering equal participation among students, regardless of gender
Menstrual Pain workshop
Elizabeth LaCroix, a PhD scholar USA, facilitated an interactive workshop on menstrual pain at the GAN Learning Centre. The session was organized for youth ambassadors to deepen their understanding of the causes of extreme menstrual pain experienced by women and explore possible remedies and pain management techniques.
The youth ambassadors actively engaged in the discussion, shared their personal experiences, and expressed empathy towards those facing severe menstrual discomfort. The workshop created a safe and open space for learning and dialogue around a topic often considered sensitive in many communities.

Building a Rotary Hall
The Rotary Club of Eltham, Australia, visited Nepal with a strong commitment to contributing to community development in collaboration with Nepali citizens.
